Trip Home to Utah
We finally got to leave Michigan for a few days. Getting a direct flight to SLC from Michigan meant driving two hours to Detroit. Once we got there, our flight was delayed another two hours due to a thunderstorm. We sat staring out the plane window at this:
Finally, we were on our way. We flew around the storm and saw the coolest lightening show. This video really doesn't do it justice - several places against the entire horizon were lit up simultaneously for at least twenty minutes or more:
After spending a day camping and going to the rodeo,
we got to see how big Lacey has gotten since we've last seen her:
It was a fun trip, and it was great to get away, but we were a little afraid to leave Mack alone for three days. Ever since Maceo died, he's needed much more attention, so we got a pet sitter to come play with him for a bit each day we were gone.
He was stoked to see us when we got back.
